September Share, by Karine

Dear crafty friends,

Karine here today to share two layouts I created this month using the beautiful
2Crafty Chipboards pieces.

My first layout is called Dream a Little Dream.
 Here it is.

My starting point was this beautiful Frame Madeline's Flourish. I embossed it with green embossing powder. I felt it was organic, so I chose earth tones for the rest of my layout.

My title piece is the beautiful Dream a Little Dream chipboard piece. I love the font of the word Dream. I embossed it with the same embossing powder, as I thought my layout missed a touch of green.

I used a lot of the Foliage Set 1 throughout my layout.

I embossed the foliage with a pale gold powder.

My second layout is much more ornate.
 It is called

Love You to the Moon and Back

Here it is.

My starting point was the gorgeous moon piece from the Love You to the Moon set.

I covered it with gesso. Then, I used a stencil and modeling paste to give it some dimension. I wanted it to look like the real moon, with its craters. I then covered it with Prima waxes. It's so easy to use to color chipboards!

I used the same waxes to color my two Dreamcatchers.
I placeD them towards the bottom of my layout.

Here and there, I scattered some stars from the Love You to the Moon set.
I embossed them with a glittery black embossing powder.

My title piece is also from the Love You to the Moon set.

I used some waxes to color it as well.

There is a lot of texture on that layout!

I really hope you like my layouts.

September Inspiration by Ingrid

Hi there 2Crafty friends!
Hope you all have a wonderful day!

It's my turn up on the blog today and I have two projects to share with you.

I made this canvas by glueing the bubble clumps and the flourish onto the canvas.
Added the embellishments and painted all with gesso.
Once dry, I added the colors with a bit of water to let the colors run.
Let this dry completely before the final touch with gesso.
All the chipboard got two coats with gesso.

The create word from the ATC words.

The bubble clumps with a coat of gesso to let them stand out more.

The flourish from the Flourish Adornment set 4.

The Addy Butterfly, all covered in gesso.

Some small art stones for extra textures.

Bubble Clumps
Flourish Adornment set 4

And here is my second project this month:

I made this project with a photo of our latest vacation to Greece.
We had the most perfect time on the small island of Skiathos.
I started this piece again by glueing some Chequerbox clumps.
Randomly added some modeling paste to create more texture in the background.
Painted with some blues to match the sea and a final touch with gesso.

I placed the vacation word along one shutter side.

Some paper flowers, a crocheted flower, art stones and some wool felt tucked in.

I bent the chequerbox clumps a bit to create a more loose effect.

The Leafy twig branches were lightly touched with some gesso.

Thank you all for visiting and see you next time!
Enjoy your day!
